The final "i" in a group was often written as "j" so you could interpret xij as xii.
d is for pence, s is for shilling.
So xijd = xiid = 12d = 12 pence (1 shilling) and ijs = 2 shillings.
Sometimes you migh find at the end the word ob. which stands for a halfpenny or q. (the initial of quadrans) for farthing.
